can you post some pics of the stripped bolts, If you stripped them so bad were there is no grip there going to have to be drilled out.
sorry i dun have pics tho, but yeh they got strippd n i tried the drill to but it doesnt even grip on it either..
First of all, unless your car is RHD, you don't have an EK.
Second, you might be able to drop the drivers underdash and pull the screws from the left side of the cig lighter panel, which might give you enough room to maneuver a flex shaft socket up in there to remove the two 8mm screws holding your radio in... Might need to use a mirror and flashlight to see where they are...
If not, just drill out the stripped screws...

How did you strip them? Those bolts will take a screwdriver or a socket, so if you stripped them out with a screwdriver, you can still put a socket on them.
Can you get vice grips on them?
I'm not even sure if you have to drop the glovebox on an EK. I rarely have to think about what I'm doing on a Honda though, it just comes naturally.

you are local to me bring it by and lets see what you did wrong, lol. I never seen anyone strip honda screws, lol. not dissing man . But hell **** happens.
Oh yeah you do take off the glovebox aka COMpartment. I just did two today. The screws holding the glovebox are very tight. They have screw indentations, but they also have squared edges so you can get an 8mm socket onto them. It's not hard to strip them with a screwdriver. But there is no excuse for stripping them with a socket. I would fire your *** for that.
I think it's fine to call it an EK because it looks like an EK. All the parts that fit a true JDM EK application are the same for the USDM equivalent. What do you want him to do, spell out the whole damn vin?

I mean how ******* hard would it be to say 1994 Civic or 96 Integra, and then for us less informed add that other stuff on the end, and we can learn.
Maybe it's a US thing, because here, even when Honda or Acura send us a car they always say year, make and model

It's not a fad it's just something we do unconciously. At my house I have an EF, EG, and my girlfriend has an EM. Whenever we go somewhere, it's like "which car are we taking"? Do you think I'm going to seriously say "the 91 Honda Civic"?! My son and my girlfriend don't know the difference between a 91 and 93, and there aren't many people out there that do. But they picked up the chassis codes pretty quick. If an EK drives by, even though they don't know that particular code, I'm confident they'll be able to work out that it's the generation between an EG and an EM.
Also, outside of our country, say Canada or Australia, the generation years varied with the US. So if I were to say "my 91 Honda Civic", one of our Australian friends here on the forums is going to think I'm talking about a 5th gen. IMO, the chassis codes are MORE specific than the year designations. Not to mention that they are a big abbreviation for something that is spoken here on HT almost constantly.
Of course Honda/Acura don't refer to them by the chassis codes.
You're here on HT. When you click your way into these forums, you see the other forums are designated by the chassis codes. It's time you picked them up!
But if people start being **** and saying "EJ" and "EH", I don't expect myself or anyone else will be able to keep track of them all.

So you think it's just too inconvenient for people asking for help to add what year their car is, so we that want to help don't have to wast time by posting just to find out?
We already have to pry info needed from people, sometimes they may not know, or even how to find out, **** it's to the point now that people don't even mention what car they are talking about, but everybody knows what year their car is.
As for "big abbreviation" maybe, but until I pick up on all that, it will just take me longer to help someone
