i got a 97 civic ex coupe...can someone give me tips on how to fix the lights on the heater/ac etc...the green light comes on when i press one of the buttons but i cant see which one im pressing cause the pictures dont light up anymore....sometimes i gota keep switching the cold/hot switch left to right till the lights turn on but doesnt fully turn on sometimes...

 

check y0 fuses y0. then, check the bulbs

 

Check fuses before anything. Does you guage cluster light up or is it dark also? I would not pull the climate control out to check the bulbs until im sure its not something else.

 

ok maybe pictures will explain it more...well everything lights up BUT the lights inside the red square (picture below) dont...i dont think anythings wrong with the fuse cause 40% of the time the lights do come on...but when it doesnt, i gota move the hot/cold **** left to right untill the lights come on...sometimes it would only light the right half of the red square...could it still be the bulb even though it lights up half the time??

 

take out the cluster and get new light bulbs. they're going out. make sure when you press them in, they sit in place tight. 74 is the lightbulb at autozone. happened to me... until i fixed it. the reason you have to move hot/cold is because the bulbs are loose. mine ended up poping because i kept pushin it back and forth during the night.

 

what if i just tighten the bulb down?? or do i really gota replace it?? and how do you remove the cluster??

 

i would replace it just in case it is damaged. it's cheap.

i unno how to remove it...never had your car.

 

so 74 is not the bulb size?? anyone know the size of the bulbs?? thanks
