head bolts
i have a friend with a 92 prelude, he took it to the shop because he just got it and it sounded like it had a piece broken off a valve, the shop told him he couldnt use the factory head bolts again, that he had to get new ones.
i told him i used mine on my 94 when i had some headwork done. you dont have to replace them on a 92 do u?
h23 engine
thanks,
chad

Yes you need to replace them due to bolt stretch. Some guys on here re-use them again and get away with it... and some don't. Personally, I would never reuse them.
I was always told to replace them. So I replaced them with arp headstuds. you can reuse headstuds. and they are about the price of new headbolts.

I don't remember seeing anything in the helm about replacing them every time. I know of a set of H23 bolts that are on their 4th install just with the current owner, and it looked like the head had been off at least one time before we saw it. It is obviously safer to replace them every time though...
