i have a 89 crx si w/ the zc swap like probley half of you on here and am having a problem. everytime i run the car the engine light turns on and it starts idleing wierd. i know w/ the zc ECU's they have a light on it that blinks when the check engine light turns on and i counted 17 blinks. i was wondering if anyone knows the answers to the codes or could find out for me what 17 blinks means. it's the 89 integra motor, trans, and ecu. not sure if that helps at all but yeah.

 

17 is Vehicle Speed Sensor - does your speedometer work?

 

by the way - if you have 89 Integra engine, then you don't have a ZC - you have a D16A1

 

its the JDM 89 integra motor. trust me... its a zc. if u dont believe me i can take a pic of the engine code on the trans. and send it to u

 

no i actually just fixed the speedometer tonite. the cable was somehow taken out of the spot where it goes into the trans so i put it back in and made sure it was plugged into the back of the guage cluster but the light still stays on... is there maybe a wire harness that could have gotten unplugged for some reason?

 

now that you put it back in unhook the battery to reset the ecu then hook it back up.
