Default EGR replacement

I need to replace the EGR in my wifes car (89 Accord, LX FE). Can someone give me any help as to what I need to be aware of?

I believe I can handle this job, no doubt. Are there any gaskets needed. Where canI find directions for this process?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sal.

what leads you to believe the EGR valve needs replaced? The EGR valve is held on with 2-12mm nuts a swivel socket is handy to have. There is a gasket under the valve; stuff some paper towels in the holes so gasket scrapings don't fall into the EGR ports.

The job is no more involved than locating them, the removal of two nuts/washers and changing out the EGR valve. Make sure the passages as clear (in the intake manifold) prior to installing the new Valve. They have a tendency to carbon up if driven overly conservative.
