I am planning to get my first (probably used) bike this summer. As I am doing some research, just wonder if you guys can give me some ideas on what I should be aware of when getting a used bike? In your opinion, what would be a suitable bike that is good for a newbie like me? thanks!

I tink i said on a different thread, but age is VERY important
young drivers (like me) tend to speed alot, and tend to be more dangerous (thats why the insurance is high for young drivers). So, big bikes are not a good choice for young drivers, as well as new drivers. so, go get something small.

 

yep, young people like us like to speed alot and motorcycles do it very easily and are extremly less forgiving than cars. They'll get you in trouble (with the law and your health) real easily. So start off on a older bike. preferably something under 600cc's and with little plastic.
