Default Just wired up my 1 piece JDM lights, some problems..

I wired them with a relay so the H4 is regular and brights and the H1 is a foglight. I wanted the H1 on all the time with both my parking lights and headlights. I wired it into the corner light on the headlight housings. I simply spliced the wires. My H4 bulbs are PIAA and appear to be quite dim. Also my OEM security system has stopped working once the wiring was completed? Does anyone have any ideas?

sounds like you wired something up wrong.
rewire the "fogs" but use the parking light wire under the dash and relay it as well.
as for the alarm... could be the same thing or maybe you blew a fuse

when you activate/deactivate the security system the lights are supposed to flash. Is it possible that I blew a fuse since the H1 bulbs are now tied into my corner lights? If one is blown, to avoid that in the future, can't i just put a larger one in there?

That might work. unless you grounded one of your wires during install.... my right side bright doesnt work at all now that i have my jdm's in...

You can buy a relay from Radio Shack and use the park lights as a switch for the relay and the just run a wire from the fuse box for power to the relay then that way when u turn on ur parking lights ur H1's will turn on. Its not recommended to replace a fuse with a higher amperage because wen there is a short the fuse is supposed to stop it before it can get any worse. How did u wire your headlights to the relay?

i wired mine similar to what you were trying to do but instead i got an Insight Daytime Running Light module from ebay and wired it up. now my h1 (DRL/Fog whatever you want to call it) comes on 15 seconds after the car is started, regardless if you have the lights on or not. they stay on until you fick on the high's. ive got a diagram of how i wired mine up using that module if you decide to go that route.

Why dont you just wire it up the normal way the J-spec is suppose to be.. H4 ONLY for Low beam and the H1 is for high beem...
