take it to an exhaust shop and have them tweak the hangers so you have a little more clearence. other then that, get different springs.

that and you could consider getting different springs for the rear with a little less drop...

I am pretty much done with riding around with a sport suspension. The ride is just too harsh. I can't wait until I have a new daily driver. I'll use my Prelude for nice days/track events only.

Pansy That's what having two cars is for!

I didn't mind my rough ride, but I had adjustable shocks. Take it easy around holes/bumps, go slow and at an angle when going over stuff. That's about all you can do.

If you want to make your suspension better for faster driving, you will have to deal with the change in normal-driving quality.

I think you mean Tein Basics, right. That's what I have. I don't know if it is rough or if they are blown. They bottomout WAAAAY too easily. I am tired of worrying about big dips when leaving driveway/parking lots.

Yeah, I actually have 4. My BMW doesn't get driven in the Winter, my truck is for mainly hauling stuff (gets bad gas mileage), and the 240 is still being worked on. Guess which car WON'T be getting an upgraded suspension AND is going to be my daily driver.

is there any easy way to tell if your shocks are blown, without taking them off?

If you just push them down, usually the spring will bring them back up. Hence why shocks are actually called "dampers". Also why you buy lowering springs and not lowering shocks.

If it's blown, almost every time it will have fluid leaking around the seal. Look at the top of the body, where the thinner shiney rod goes up through to the shock tower. Where the shiney rod meets the shock body, there should be fluid leaking if it's blown.

i was just asking out of curiousity i have brand new koni's, but i got the eibachs used so i kinda wish i would have gotten the pro kit

and i don't really want to go with GC's, for some reason i like to keep it simple... good shocks and springs> "coilovers" (in my book)

I'm running Koni Yellows with Eibach Sportlines and WS2 exhaust. I'm low, but if I'm careful It takes a big slope for me to scrap.

Co worker of mine mentioned that some people on an Audi TT forum use heavy duty zip ties to raise up their aftermarket exhausts instead of modifying the hangers. Kinda ghetto, but it's an idea...
