Sure it is, they both regulate fuel pressure...just in different ways and pressures...

Alright, since you guys all think your so smart...I will just post what the Revhard site has to say about this unit....

FMU - Fuel Management Unit. This fuel regulator is boost sensitive and increases fuel pressure based on boost pressure. Easily mounted on the firewall of any vehicle near the return fuel line, as well as inline on the return fuel line.

Like I said, it is a fuel regulator...just because its label says fmu doesnt mean its not a regulator. If anyone has questions that would like to buy this, I will surely expalin what they do and how they do it...

FMU is used to give out more fuel when it is needed... when ur on "boost"...

2 totally different concepts... but i get what you are tying to say..

but its called an FMU and not a FPR for a reason.... </TD></TR></TABLE>

Even you are caught up with words my friend. Once again, even if they call it a "FMU", it is still a fuel pressure regulator. Like you said, it regulates pressure in a different way then a static regulator or 1 that might be a 1 pds rising rate unit, but don't be fooled by wording, all it is...is a fuel pressure regulator. They could call it a doohickey thing a ma bob and all it still would be is something that regulates boost in its own way, this one might even work in conjunction with another regulator....yada yada...but once again...it is still a fuel pressure regulator! That is true, it regulates fuel when under a boost pressure situation, but non the less, it can still be called a fuel pressure regulator. I guess the text above from the Revhard site wasn't enough, so down below I am going to add what comes directly from the VORTECH site to prove my point of it being a fuel pressure regulator...and then I am done and its still for sale

[B]FROM THE VORTECH SITE DIRECTLY...manufacture of this unit[B]

What is an FMU?
The letters FMU stand for "Fuel Management Unit". Basically, an FMU is a fuel pressure regulator. The FMU is used on fuel injected, supercharged engines using the factory electronic engine management system.
