Im looking for a new daily driver and the rsx type s has caught my eye i see many on autotrader for around 13-16k which is my price range with like 50-70k miles are these good prices or is it one of those to good to be true things?

 

a brand new one is about 22-23,00 before TTL(tax, title, and license). so, if you take an 2002(4 year old car), its pretty far for a car to depreciate 7-8,000 in 4 years. you can pay to have acura run a full diagnostic test on the car before u buy it. they run for about 130-150 dollars to have it done at the dealership. you can also carfax the car.

on the 06's, they increased the powertrain warranty to 7 years/70,000 miles. i think it was done because they realized that the k20 is an extremely reliable engine. if the engine was taken care of, the car should easily last 200,000+ miles. you can also have them do an oil change on the car and have them filter the oil to make sure there are no metal shavings(which generally means that the previous owner kept the oil at a good level.

Yeah, thats about what I seen them around for before I bought mine....
