Here are some pics from the car show yesterday.
I almost fell over when I saw them!
Why not have them?

doesnt CF have similar properties to fibreglass? if so who in there right mind would want these unless it was taken to the show on a trailer and hand pushed to it's spot on the floor...

i can't imagine these being any good for driving in any condition

Well F1 cars are cf so I would think it is strong enough. I would say if you had a set for the drag strip it might lower your et. I dunno, I would like to read about them if anyone has a link.

Yes, that is true about F1 but they are also replacing there tubs a lot more than the average person replaces cars. So the F1 CF doesn't have the time/stress that CF on a daily will have from being run over a malititude of surfaces and the time/stress factor on a daily.

Just food for thought....

most of the CF wheels i see are just CF laid over the rim.. not an actual full CF rim..

I have seen some way better looking CF rims than those. CF wheels are good for only one thing... Shows.

cheaper/easier to get a vinal cut out and put em on your current wheels. its the same thing as those above and any other style. they are just overlays and not a true carbon fiber rim.
