Default Si harness problem.

Hey guys its me again, still broke and havent gotten the beast running.

Previous problem was no spark. I got a new dizzy and used the oh so famous wiring diagram thats floating around to wire up the dohc zc dizzy. And still no go.

the previous owner hacked up the engine harness for the fan, o2 sensor and dizzy. Could all that cutting pretty much have destroyed the harness. I tried everything and everything was wired up right. Im thinking the hack job is causing too much resistance.

Should i just buy a new Si harness, btw 90 hatch si. Thanks guys, you guys are really helpful. I want to get it running before my azenis develope **** from sitting for a long time.

If the hack job is really that bad then you should get a new harness. If you have the time to follow a wiring diagram then repair it.

Just FYI the 90-91 CRX and Hatch harness's are slightly different so be sure you get a 90-91 Si Hatch harness off of ebay.

any codes?

you just need to order a manual and go over the wiring step by step. like my friend had an ef with the wiring harness untouched and it wasnt getting spark. after half hour of searching i found out through testing with my dvm that one of the white wires wasnt giving the correct volts to the dizzy so i just ran a wire from the ecu to the dizzy and now it runs fine. i prefer the chiltons manual or haynes for wiring although i never used a helms yet
