So i took a sound clip of our (me and a friend own it together) all motor CRX drag car for you guys...i thought you might like it...

For all you wondering whats under the hood, its a d15b7 1.5 litre sohc, ZC pistons, with a full race vtec head. Around 12.4:1 compression, JG Pro series d16z6 head, and the biggest sohc cam in the world. Once its tuned it makes around 180-190hp @ the wheels. Redline at 9200-9500rpms. Not bad for a little 1.5 litre huh?

Its still not running right..ecu problems...we are currently using a chipped p28 with a dohc mugen program (for a b16a/b18c1) in it...which works okay..just not right. Need to get a hondata!! (yes we converted the whole car over to obdI)

Its like the best sounding car i have ever heard. No muffler i might add..just straight headers.

We are shotting for 12s in the 1/4....

Wow car looks good so far,way to represent west coast.I got da eeeeat sied covered here.I have 89 rex si drag,so far I only have the bottom end complete and the wiring for obd1.H23 w/a .40 overbore, sleeved, 12.5:1 pistons,girdled and crank has been knfe edged and balanced,Looking to use h22 head after I locate one in sutable condition.Already have the tranny-cage-and vehicle internals.I hope to complete this for some events this year if not I will be shoping sponcers hard next year.I am an all motor guy and love all motor hondas,Im trying to get in the 8-9 sec. range without a porpose built car.

we are running VP racing C12 (108 motor octane). Smells pretty odd. Its also leaded.

 

So this is your rex you were working on huh? let this go out to all the dumbasses from previous posts in this forum who said d15's suck and that dseries motors could never go fast, even after build up. Liam prove em wrong buddy

except for me the d15 guy here heheeh d15b1 shooting for a 14 in the next month with a total of 300 spent on parts maybe less not counting the exhaust i just bought

Bisi Eosa...A south african born drag racer who runs a d15 sohc...engine and I seems he has no hit ten's...good for him.

that bisi guy is actually bored and stoked to 2.0. it was in sport compact when they were talking about all those all motor engines and stuff. nice crx, hope u get a good time with it.

The cam is a JG custom race cam. It has around 450 lift and i dont remember the duration. Anyways its the biggest cam JG makes for a sohc (similar to the gude godzilla cam i hear)

That article is incorrect (if it really says that).

Bisi runs a carbed, 1.5 non-vtec, naturally-aspirated, HF that just hit a 10.93
