Default am i getting scamed?

i asked on here a while back if a accord f22a1 tranny would fit into my prelude ( i have a 94 prelude s with an f22a1) i got all yes's and so i went ahead and bought one. my dad takes it to a shop, and the guy says he cant get it in, but he has a prelude s that he will sell me and we can just part out that to fix mine. am i getting scamed? i was under the impression that it would fit, i dont understand how it would not bolt up if the block is the same casting????? help!!!!!!

Some of the accord trannies will not directly bolt on because where the mounting bracket is ther is too big of a space to mount it. I have heard of some people tapping into it though, but not really recommended.

if you want to use the accord tranny you have to use the accord mount in the prelude.

or you can use the prelude mount and tap the holes that are already there.

it is really not that hard.

and the tranny should bolt up to the engine no problem.

so if i go pick up the tranny mount out of the accord then it shoud work, i just called and he said the mount on mine was straight while the bolt pattern on the tranny was curved or somthing.....so it just needs the accord mount right?

I am ALmost positive you can use the accord mount. I don't know why the prelude mount doesn't fit if you tap the holes that are already there.

I honestly would try to use the prelude mount before I went on a goose chase for the right mount.

I have used f series accord trannies in my prelude fine.

it will fit! yes you are getting scammed, The s tranny IS A F22,
I have used every f and h series trannies on f and h series motors, the case is the same, some cases involve moving one of the studs for the tranny mount, thats it.
