Well many of you guys know that I have owned my R for over 5 years now. It has always been well maintained and never been vandalized by thieves. That all changed this weekend. On Friday night, I went to bed, and left my car by the police station, thinking no one was going to ever have big enough ***** to do anything to my car there. I wake up the next morning, go to my car and everything is missing. They stole my radio, VAFC, guages and other stuff. Having stuff stolen doesn't really bother me, because I can just replace it, but they had the audacity to mess with my ignition. They tried to start the car and drive it off but were unsucessful. I now know how it feels to be a victim. I filed a police report, and told them that this all happened in front of their police station, and all they had to say was, "Oh, Okay.". This shows you how useless CPD is.
Here's a couple pics of the R during it's prime.

With all the recent thief trends lately, it seems that all itr's will be stolen some time or another. not saying that i hope that happens but you see these kinda threads like atleast twice a week. theives should all burn in hell.
next to the police station? thats pathetic. someone could of been mugged, raped, killed, beaten or whatever right outside and the perp just walks away
atleast the car was still there man, count your blessings.

Owning a type-r isn't even worth it anymore. Even in Texas and Oklahoma I see junk cars with ITR swaps and five lug, and you can obviously tell they didn't go pick that stuff up from a salvage yard or something. Good luck with keeping it from happening again and wire up some hidden ignition and fuel kill switches.

Well I live right next to the police station. That's why it was parked there. I didn't park it in the garage because I didn't feel it was necessary with the police always patroling my block. Now I have her tucked away in the garage, clubbed up and armed.
When I was a police officer my hatchback was parked in our parking lot and someone stole my radio.
Does that make you guys feel better? Hate the piece of **** thieves, not the cops! Out of 15 posts we have more people say negative things about cops than they do about the thieves. Makes sense.

You gotta love the CPD. I really don't think they would have done anything had they seen it happening. They would have put it off thinking it was another racer working on his car, even though it might have been early in the morning hours.
I feels like alot of CPD officers just don't want to bother with things if they don't have to. Every accident I have been involved in and dealt with the CPD on, I have always left feeling like they didn't want to bother with the report and that I was bothering them by actually filing the report and making them write.

Parking outside always carries a higher element of risk. That's a tough lesson to learn, but I'm glad to see you've still got your R after 5+ years.

I'll turn the tide. The cops who caught my thief after the wild car chase and then a foot chase were top notch! The "system" broke down for me at the prosecutor's office. The prosecutor's decision not to press charges pissed off the cops almost as much as it did me.

And what exactly is it that you expected the police department to do? Sit at the station staring out the window at your car? Sucks that your car got broken into but the police have better things to do than to watch after your gauges, vafc, etc.
Just to put it into perspective for you, can you please describe the last person that walked past your house outside?

I not trying to say anything about your neighborhood Will, but i knew it would only be a matter of time before someone grabbed the ***** to try something stupid. Just be lucky, the thieves only took little things like your VAFC, radio, etc. and not your seats, motor, or the whole thing. Anyways fOOl, i just hope you can get her back on her feet for some summer good times when i get back.
good summer times

And don't call me Millhouse when you see me, you ****!!!
