Default **How to put a 92-95 civic EX Si lip on a Del Sol** 56k warning!!!

Well I said I would do a write up on how to install the ex/si lip on a Del Sol so here it is...
**First off this is how i decided to put my lip on...so if you mess up your del sol don't blame me for messing up your car...you can follow my steps or make up your own like I did...Good Luck!!!**

1. Go to any hardware store and get some nuts, bolts, washers, and self-tapping screws like this...
7-nuts & bolts
14-washers
4-self tapping screws
**you can use more if you are scared that the lip will fall off...some ppl use double sided tape in between the bumper and lip (I forgot to get it while i was at the store...so i installed it without the double sided tape, my lip stays on fine...but i would still suggest using it)**

2. Buy the lip...its for a Civic 92-95 ex coupe

There is my lip on the car
3. Place the lip on the front bumper just to see how it is going to fit on your car. You may need 2 guys to hold the lip on each side so you know about where the lip should be etc...

I put masking tape on my bumper so you guys can see where i drilled holes under my bumper. As you can see I drilled 7 wholes on the bottom of the bumper and 4 on the ends of the lip/into the bumper...(2 of the holes can't be seen in this picture)

4. While your friends or whoever is holding the lip on where you want it...get a permanent marker and mark where you should drill the holes. You should drill the middle hole first. After you drill the holes it should look like this

This is the end of the lip inside the wheel well

5. You are now finished...enjoy your new lip that looks SICK!!! (not too flashy, but just RIGHT)

Here is the end result on my del sol...

I will post better pics when I take pics in the day time...i was excited so i put it on tonight!!!

Hope this helps...feel free to ask questions if i wasnt clear in any of the steps.

No I'm going to keep it black. I going to re-paint my car the stock color when I have more money though.

I don't get it. They make lips for del sols, right? Why use one from an eg/si?

Just so people know this lip comes on:

92-95 Civic VX, Si Hatches
93-95 All Civic Coupes

and you can buy them new at Password JDM, Heeltoe, ICB, Honda dealer etc...

and you can find them used in the HT classifieds.
