Default 99 si B16 into EK lots of questions

What I have... 99 Civic Si B16A2 engine, S80 LSD Trans. (I have been told it's a JDM Integra GSR trans., but I don't know that for sure), 97 Civic EX 2dr coupe that I have had to completely redo because of the previous owner.

Questions..... aaahhhh yesss the fun part.

1. Does the left side (closest to the wheel) of the intermediate/half shaft have a boot on it normaly when taken off the car??

2. If so, what would be the best/cheapest half shaft to buy that would work with my setup?

3. If not, got any tips on how to get the left side axle boot off my dang half shaft?? lol

4. What left and right axles should I use, 94 integra, 99 si, ect.....?

5. Do I want the ABS or non ABS axles?

6. Any suggestions on making this re-buildup easier??? :-)

Pics, parts, details at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/806948

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Will those 94-01 axles and half shaft work for me if I need them?

Answers to the above questions in first post:

1. There is no boot on the half shaft (like in the streetimports.com link you have).

2. Used OEM (I have these) or that streetimports.com link looks OK (no experience with those)

3. Not sure I understand. The axles and half shaft should look like they do in the streetimports.com link

4. All B-Series (94-01 Integra, Del Sol VTEC, and 99-00 Civic Si) have the same axles.

5. Only get the ABS if your car has ABS and you are keeping ABS.

6. Check the links in my signature for EK swap info.

Those 94-01 axles and half shaft (from streetimport.com) will work if you need them.

Good Luck!

Thanks for all the info! I wasn't sure if my half shaft was different than the few others I've seen. The left axle boot is stuck to the half shaft I guess. It wasn't a good day, I'm not the most mechanicaly inclined person in the world, and a few too many Coronas. lol

I have another quick question.... I'm using a 97 ex manual wiring harness and a chipped P28 ECU with conversion harness. I am going to be putting the harness on tomorrow and I was wondering if I have to change any plugs or anything other than maybe extend some wires(hopefully they will stretch far enough)? Thanks again. Damn I got alot of questions.

Try and use a pry bar or two to pry the axle and half shaft apart

I didn't extend anything. I just cut the harness looming back far enough for the wiring to reach the sensor. You may need to swap a plug or two. See the EK swap guide in my signature for more information
