I have been noticing a lot of posts from s2000 owners who have hydrolocked their engine due to their CAI. Only one post mentioned using a bypass valve. I live in FL and have not had trouble with my previous cars and CAI, but after seeing some posts about s2000's I want to make sure before I add one to my new s2000. I guess the questions I am after is: Who's using what(brand of CAI), with or without a bypass, how long, and have you hydrolocked before?

i have a cai.. no hydrolock... only idiots hydrolock cause they swear the car can drive though a puddle a foot deep...

 

I'm an idiot, I drove through foot deep puddle. I'm also idiot proof, because my filter is at the height of my license plate.
