Anyone know where i can get my C/F hood clearcoated for cheeeeap? So-Cal
If anyone knows of a place in So Cal that would throw on a clearcoat or two on my C/F hood that would be great. I just got the hood used for $80 and its faded.

maybe someone can post up the thread for the carbon renewal using some marine 3m product, looked like it worked awsome i searched but could not find it. i think it might have been in the eg forum

the 3m stuff is an abrasive that grinds away the nastiness (worked well for me). the one i used didn't protect anything afterwords, but there are a number of waxes that are uv protective. the marine stuff is usually pretty resilient since fiberglass boats see a lot more wear and tear than most cars, and waxing one is a bitch.
if you have to take it way down (or it might be a good idea to respray anyway, depending on what was originally done to the hood)- just get it sprayed with a uv protective clearcoat (regular paint) by one of the budget places as was stated above.
