Default Installing lowering springs?

Hi,

I just bought a set of Tein S Tech Lowering springs for my 04 accord. I talked to the honda center on the phone and they told me it would cost 230 bucks for the front and 230 for the back? Is it possible for me to do these by myself, I don't have a jack, but 460 bucks is a lot of cash for just installing the springs when the springs only cost 180 bucks themselves. Is there any other place that could do this?
Thanks

That's a lot of money, but I really have no idea what labor costs nowadays. There is a sticky at the top of this forum that will show you what's involved with a spring install.

Invest that $460 into tools and a jack since in the future you are going to be doing some work on your car unless you don't have the time, but still changing out the stock springs for aftermarket ones is not hard at all. You just need a set of hand tool, jack stands, spring compressor, and a jack.

Definately buy the tools and do it yourself.

It's really not that hard. You can even rent the spring compressor if you don't want to buy one.

Well, I called a custom shop and they can do it for 160. The reason I probably won't invest in that is because I'm going off to college next year and the only problem is not sure where I have room to put stuff. As is I'm squeezing in my winter tires.

Although, after the thought, I'll probably go out and buy the stuff and do it myself.
