Turbo Teg. smoking under boost and 110mph
What!!!!!!!!!! I was doing 110mph and my car was smoking. It seemed like it only did it when my foot was on the gas. I know my car run a bit lean and at 110...The boost jumps FAST. This guy in a blazer was trying to keep up with me so I saw the smoke in his headlights. It looked like a black smoke. Any idea's on how I can get the ends of the spark plug wires unmelted from the block as well? That's another problem. I can pull the wire up it's self and it disengages from the plug but then it leave the out sealant of the plug stuck around the plut itself down in the block. I want to SCREAM!!! If I only got new injectors would that help with the lean problem?
looks like u got a **** tune or an FMU or an AFC.
Get a new head, ls/v, build ur engine, then that will fix all ur probems
the smoke is probably ur rings going. if it is white it is ur headgasket

you know, I think there is something seriously worng here anyways but I just don't want to realize it. I get alittle bit of oil out of the valve cover. Comes threw the breather. I never know exactly when but if I lift the hood up you can see it on the injectors, strut bar and ect. That is definaltly not cool. People have told me it's called blowby. I don't know. PCV maybe?
If you're talking about the rubber end of the plug wire staying down on the plug when you pull it off, then you've gotta fish it out. Long needle-nose pliers or a pick or a piece of coat hanger wire or something will do as a retrieval tool.

Dude, the melted plugs sound like you ran it WAAAY to lean. Make sure you post pics of them once you get em pulled! I bet you melted the crap out of the tip, it will probably look like someone beat it repeatedly with a hammer.

yeah the needle nose trick didn't work that was my first thought. But then I took it to the shop just to see what they'd say...Yeap $120. Forget about it. Yeah it was definatly run too long the one day. I had a read hot manifold but that was when my radiator blow out. haha. This car is falling to peice starting with under the hood. With honda's it's usually the other way around.
