Default check engine code 6

OK. So i cracked my transmission and finally got around to replacing it with a stock S20 tranny. Everything was swapped over. All the sensors were switched over onto the new tranny. Somehow its throwing a Code 6. I've replaced the water temperature sensor with a stock one from a CX motor and it still throws the same code. I dont know if something is wrong with it because i've already replaced the sensor and it was not part of the tranny swap. The motor is a stock D15B7 motor with a new stock S20 tranny on a 93 civic. let me know if theres a way to remove the check engine light since the sensor cant be the matter. I've tried resetting the ECU already and still throws the same code. Thanks
