Default Some new purchases.. thought I'd share..

I thought I should take a few minutes and post up my recent purchases, since they're 2/3 Hype-R related.. as some of you know, I've spent the last few weeks making roadtrips on the weekends to get all this stuff..

Purchase #1 - 2002 F250 Superduty V10:

Purchase #2 - 2000 ITR:

Purchase #3 - 2001 ITR:

as you can tell, neither of the black ones is 100% by any means, but at least one will be when I'm done.. still not sure what the verdict on the 2nd one will be.. what you can't see in the pics is that the 01 was t-boned pretty nicely in the driver's side..

pics of #55, in the middle of some changes this past weekend, for the hell of it:

like i said.. just thought I'd share.. hehe..

for the record, that's #4 and #5 ITR's I've owned.. I just need a 97 to have had every US released year and color.. hehe..

Why the V10 as opposed to a powerstroke? I've heard nothing but negative reviews on the Ford V10 motor. I'm just a diesel fan so Im a bit biased.

To keep it ITR related; excellent job fixing up some R's and that track rat looks pretty sweet. Getting her prepped for this years season?

Great to see this post finally show up Mark! Tell Jen thanks for spotting me on 55, haha.

I'll be in town again for the 100 acre wood rally and mardi gras.

as for the V10, the power numbers aren't far enough apart for me to be worried about that (I'm pulling an open trailer with an ITR on it most of the time).. the 02 V10 doesn't have any of the problems some of the earlier models did, based on my research.. and, quite frankly, the diesels go for 4-5 thousand dollars more.. and the fuel economy difference would take me about 10 years to pay off..

as for the track car, it's just getting some safety, suspension, and livery tweaks.. nothing major.. hehe.. no time with the other two staring at me!

Very true, diesels are a boat load more compared to gas. I look at it in terms of maintainence but it depends on what the truck is being used for. Daily driven work horse = diesel for sure OR destined for one task = either would be fine.

Anyway, congrats on the purchase. Ford are my favorite truck when used in the right fashion

Nice purchases, I hope you know you will be spending a lot of $$$ on gas for the V10. I thought fuel was expensive for the powerstroke. Good luck with the truck.
