Ive been having H22 transmission problems with my car latley. First of all when i go to shift fast into 2nd gear it dosent go in for some reason. It needs for the RPMs to go down for it to go into gear. Also my 3rd gear seems to be messed up. When i put it in 3rd it will stay but as soon as i hit the gas it pops right out. Whats the deal with that? Also 5th gear grinds a little when i put it in? I guess i need a new tranny or is there something else that could be wrong?

 

have u physcially looked at the transmission ? checked your fluid? sounds kinda like you got a little bit of every issue you could have with a trans.

possibility - don't write it in stone. Either way, you should pull your TRANSAXLE and visually inspect it.

 

what type of fluid and is it full?

 

Oh, just for the record - your 5th gear is gonna grind......everyone's does, unless it has been fixed already. It was a recall........

 

whens the last time u changed the MTF. check that

 

There is syncromesh in there right now

I always stick with factory recommendations - i'm using 10w40 in my tranny right now.

 

yeha i have been having sorta the same prolem......min just doesn't want to go in any gear even after i filled my MTF up with synchromesh.....anyways now my TOB(throw out bearing) is all chattering so alot of people said that could be the reason it wouldn't go into gear
