Default whered you put your battery relocation kill switch?

hey, just gonna mount up my battery relocation kill switch. most that ive seen have just been shoved through the key hole. I want to keep my trunk accessible via my key though. I would also prefer to keep the switch hidden when im not at the track. i was thinking of putting it under the brake light or something along those lines. i havent pulled out the brake light yet to see if it will fit, but i want to see what you guys have done! i usually see stuff on here thats pretty trick. anyways, down to the point. whered you put your kill switch?!?! post up some pics!

I took my license out and wounted it behind there. Then you just take your license off when your at the track.

My camera is broken otherwise i would take a pic of mine, but i will try to find a pic.

Sorry for the Noobie ? But whats the point of this? I seen mostly domestic cars with these switches in their bumpers or trucks and have always wondered why. Safety?

mandatory on any car running 9.99 or quicker, or 135 mph or faster. or on any car where battery is relocated to trunk area of vehicle.

I took that from my old 03' NHRA rulebook. I maybe wrong

its in the nhra rules and even some of the road racing's governing bodies say that if you have moved your battery from the factory position you must have a "kill" switch on the outside of the vehicle i guess for safety reasons. ex. i have an h22 in an ek so i moved the battery because i needed the space for other stuff under the hood. other people have moved it to help with balancing the weight on there cars. and i am sure there are other reasons as well.

You can get them through summit racing as well, Moroso, flaming river to name a few. Tech inspecters like to see the Moroso battery box as well. Thebox has to be to certain specs as well and the Moroso one is the only one I currently know of that meet the required specs(breather tube, sealing etc). I am sure there are others though.

EDIT: to answer the original question.

I had my switch behind the rear bumper cover, because of this I was allowed to run with no rear bumper cover. No rear cover=less drag, this was at Fontana, not sure if they would allow it at all tracks.

It is suppose to be on the rear most part of the car. So basically the bumper, although some people including myself have put it through the key hole for the trucnk or hatch which looks clean.

Do they make a flaming river kit that you can put under the hood like James car so that you dont have to run that huge wire through the car?
