check engine light + vtec?
i know this is kinda a stupid question and more of a stupid move... i did a wire tuck today because i jsut got my wireing harness, i did a search and found that the engine bay looked alot cleaner with out the charcoal canister... so since i took that out i also took off the purge solinoid...
what i didint think was this will probaly make the check engine light come on correct? and i just red that vtec wont engage with the check engine light on...
did i just expletive myself and do i need to put the solinoid and canister back on...
how do you guys run no canister with out throwing a code?

should i jsut put it back in the car and leave it pluged in or did you remove yours also?

i've ran a virgin and chipped p28. Never threw a code for the evap purge solenoid.
My canister is removed, the plug was depinned and hidden inside the wire loom.

Yea removing the cannister and purge solenoid shouldn't throw a check engine light. If your throwing a code, just check to see what it is and go from there. Vtec will still engage even with a check engine light ***but it depends on exactly what code your throwing***
