Default Questions about DIY BLACKOUT HEADLIGHTS.

Hey guys, I need help with my DIY. When you first take out the headlights and put it in the oven to heat it up, I just havea couple of quesitons.

1. From the picture, are these 3 parts from ONE headlight?
2. When you pry it part after taking it ouf of the oven, do you take 1 apart or 2 apart from 3?

1 headlight, yes. It's the shield (1) then the housing (2) sandwiched between the casing (3).

So it's a sandwich. 1-2-3. One is pried off of three and 2 will be in between.

alright, thanks man. So a screw is holding together 2 and 3 then. So when I first take it out of the oven, I pry off 1 with my hand then right?

I'm not 100% sure on the RSX headlight, but aside from the usual metal clips along the seam it's just the glue holding it together, so you can pry them apart, by hand, maybe, more likely with a screwdriver, I think. Then the rest should be obvious.

Theres no screws. Its clips. Careful not to break them while prying it apart.

This should help

1 day. I wouldnt say any given amount of time. You wanna make sure the paint is FULLY dry before you reassemble. I had a day off so i took my time. By the end of the day they were back in the car.
