Now that's business man. Turning the tech thread into a for sale/sold thread. Nice work. Best of luck getting the thing put together without breaking it.

never done it with a EG cluster but i did on on my MX-6 i had in High school, i took a really small regular screwdriver and stuck it in the really small gap between the black and clear plastic, rotated gently so not ot crack the plastic and just went alllllllll the way arround reall slow untill it popped off. sorry no pic how this helps a lil bit

The clear plastic piece is glued to the bezel. The only safe way of removing it without breaking the plastic is to heat it up.

Those who say it's 10 seconds are talking about EK clusters.
I've replaced the "glass" on my EK cluster since mine was good with no tach, I switched for a EX cluster with a crack. Those are easy.
On the EG it's glued on hard, with no push tabs. I had a JDM cluster in my coupe and it came with a scratched glass, so I switched them too.
What you do is use a BOX Cutter. You need a box cutter, because it's the only thing skinny enough to get in there. Slip the blade in between the glass and the cluster, and "cut" the glue beads. Firm yet gentle, this is hard glue, not soft glue. When it breaks, it snaps, so be careful.
This is the cluster when I got it: (deep smudges, scratches)
