Default P30 Pistons with GSR Rods? I searched, Read

Hey guys, I searched for this and read every topic with P30 and GSR or B18C1 in the title. For the most part every thread is full of people saying it will work with no problem and others saying take it to a machine shop as they will need "mods" My first question is which is it? Mods or no Mods? My second question, if they do need mods by a machine shop, what mods are required?? Please be as detailed as you can. Thanks.

i dont know if this is true with the gsr rod/p30 piston combo but i have b16a2 rods with ctr pistons and i had to have the machine shop shave 1mm off each side of the rod so the piston would fit. good luck!

No modification to the rod is required. Only CTR and ITR pistons require modding to the rods.
