Default jdm dohc ZI NEED YOUR HELP!!!

this may be the wrong section but i am puttin a jdm dohc ZC in my 89 crx hf.. i have everything hooked up right and i have a pg7 ecu but when i go 2 start it, it turns over but im not getting any fire... what do u guys think it could be? lmk thanks!

are you using the HF harness? are all the grounds connected? - especially the one at the thermostat housing, which is ground for ECU - if all grounds are secure, try switching the 2 white wires at the distributor connector

like a guy is puttin it in 4 me and he builds race cars all day and it was the HF harness but he rewired it so it would work and he knows his stuff on that... but ill try that... and all the grounds r connected and whatnot.. but ill tell him about the wires

another thing that we see a lot at the shop on the DOHC ZC is the spark plug wires in the wrong location - they are not like a DX or Si where #1 wire on the distributor cap is at the bottom toward rear - on the DOHC ZC, #1 is at the top toward rear (where #3 would be on DX or Si) and going clockwise, 1-3-4-2

its not that... if the spark plugs were wrong then it would still back fire... im not gettin spark at all

Three main things you need to check is if you have the fuel pressure, air, and spark. Are you positive that you are not getting spark, did you check each wire with a spark plug tester. Or did you check the voltage across the ignition coil, have you checked your cap and rotor, etc.

dist wiring done wrong is a good bet. make sure he wired the sensor on the exhaust cam correctly.

we stuck a screwdriver in both the #1 wire and in the #1 wire hole on the distributor... i dont believe its getting fuel either.. i could be mistaken but im beginning 2 believe its the cap and rotor
