i have an 02 civic si and the stock radio is in it. well i replaced the batt. and the radio now is in lock mode. i just bought the car an i did not get the code for it and i wanted to know if there is a way i can get around it.

Well, I'm not the dumbass that can't input the words "radio" and "code" into the search field. If you had searched, you would have found one of the 50+ threads on the subject.

 

Just so you know, I just found 6 current threads and 275 archived threads just by [gasp] searching.... Crazy **** I tell ya...

And by the way, I do know how to get the code.

But since I'm feeling generous (pretty strange for a dumbass), you need to remove the radio from the dash, and call (or visit) your local Honda dealer and give them the model and serial numbers from the unit. They may also ask for proof of ownership or the VIN.

But hey... What do I know?

You should show so respect to someone with a post count of b18c-1491 to your little 88 count. All you had to do is search. Now if there was a way around it don't you think it would of been listed or made a sticky at the top because it a common thing? With a attutiude like that its going to get you nowere. I would of gave you the code for free like most dealerships. All you would of had to do is give me you serial number or your vin and I would of phoned it to you. probably could of saved your self a couple of hours. Now since you want to be a ******** go ahead and go do it your way. Maybe next time you post you would think about this and show some respect to someone who is trying to help or show you how to use the fourm.
