Default need help w/ fuel problem

well i just replaced the fuel pump in my 89 si...and it worked just fine clicked on most of the time but sometimes it doesnt..so i made sure the wires outside the car that go to fuel pump were still connected and they looked loose and might have touched each other my question is if this happend would it blow any fuses and if so where those fuses are or did it short out the fuel pump...need help fast..

Clicked on most of the time? Should 'click on' all the time. Did you R/R the main relay?

If the wires touched, yes, you could have blown a fuse, but the circuit would be dead all of the time if that was the the case. And no, the pump would not have shorted out in that case.

repair/replace the main relay. Do a search for the subject. It's a common cause for no fuel pump activity.
