how to quiet exhaust?

how to quiet exhaust?

what i got now: hp race headers welded to a 2.5" straight pipe to a stock axle back with a rice cannon on the end. my question is what it the best/cheapest way to quiet it? resonator? new tip? both?

big resonator, and oval muffler, ES or magnaflow

^^Yep, resonator and/or some type of cambered muffler

also a cat in place of your test pipe will quiet that down as well. might take away some performance though, not that much though.
