Default JDM 4x114.3 ---> USDM 5x114.3

I plan on swapping from the 96 spec 4 lug to USDM 5 lug in the next 2 weeks or so. I just have a couple of questions.

First off, would there be a justifiable reason to go with the 98 spec instead of the USDM ITR? (didn't really think it was worth changing the axles for)

Second I think I know everything I need to swap, but just wanted to run it by you guys so I could get corrected (usually do lol). I know I need to swap hubs, calipers, and rotors. I know the GSR & ITR knuckles are the same (JDM 96 spec is basically a GSR setup). Not sure about the trailing arms. Also is it a pain in the *** to get the ball joint out?

Any additional related comments or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Richard

P.S. Forgot to mention after the swap I will have the 4x114.3 for sale, along with a set of 18 inch racing hart c2's and some sprint springs (returning to stock height, car was this way when I bought it and can't for the life of me understand what whomever was thinking)

Can anyone tell me whether or not the 96 spec knuckle is the same as the USDM ITR?

knuckle is the same, but i don't see a reason for swapping it out for the heavier 5 lug when that's the suspension and lug pattern that's pretty much factory for that car, 4 lug Type Rs are 1337 y0

no doubt.... it's popular to get the Prelude VTEC rotors and calipers for the fronts.....

you could also work something out with redrilling a set of EP3 SiRs for the rear and mounting a set of USDM ITR calipers out back to ensure everything is balanced....

Don't forget about the 1inch master cylinder.

Since the knuckles are the same for all 94-01 tegs, I won't be including them in what I sell, but if your buying for a teg you won't need them anyway.

Here's a link to the rims.
