Hey all, my friend is looking at a 02 type s, we took it for a ride about 10 minutes ago and noticed a sound in 2nd, and 3rd gear. When your just coasting in one of the gears, not excellerating, just going same speed, you can hear a sound that is similar to two metal pieces grazing eachother. Not a grind. And its not that loud either, we have to stop talking to hear it. Let me know what you think

 

If its under warrenty take it to the dealership. Does it have this same effect when shifting? ie- the second gear grind? I know there is a TSB for the grind when shifting although I am not sure if it includes what you are describing or not. There should be copies of that TSB floating around somewhere on CRSX. Check to see if your symptoms are included. Keep in mind they must be able to reproduce the problem. Good luck with that.
