Default P28 ecu in my OBD0 Integ (1991)DA

ok, i was going to get a pr3 ecu for my GSR swap into my 1991 integ so i can use the obd0 harness my car has in it. My buddy told me to get a p28 ECU so i can use any fuel map on the Rom chip. How do i put in the OBD1 ECU in my OBD0 car without swapping out the harness? the only conversions i see are conversions for using the OBD0 ecu with a motor that is obd1. Any answers? thx ... and yes i searched but i couldnt find nething.

i just did that. i had to order a obd-o to obd-1 conversion harness off ebay. it was 61 dollars. 45 for the harness and the rest was shippng and insurance. im now using a p28 on my 91 ls. i also had to get a obd1 distributor. but to be honest i would have went with the pr3. i got everything done and my vtec wont work cuz of some scs (service check signal). its what makes the light flash inside the obd0 ecu. they say that wire makes the obd1 ecu hit limp mode. you have to disconnect that wire and i have no clue where it is. iv been looking for months. people on honda-tech cant even help me. but good luck.

yeah your right but the pr3 is less trouble plug and play. p28 plug and have no vtec. i got everything wired right. nothing loose. but my instructions say you have to disconect the srs i have no clue where it is. if you can find that out then your good to go. i have vtec on a toggle switch just to use it.

I did my OBD-1 conversion on my DA. I had to buy an ECU adapter, optional engine subharness(makes life much easier) an obd 0-1 dizzy adapter, the obd-1 dizzy (93 GSR), a four wire o2 sensor (the engine subharness makes this lug and play). I had to splice 8 wires, which are all color coded, and it was cake work. Took me less than an hour to cenvert it all over. I ordered all my adapters from locashracing.com. It was a little expensive, but well worth it. I'm running a p28 ECU, chipped with an external eprom chip. I burned the program using UBERDATA, and I'm running a stock b16 map, with extended rev-limit, and VTEC at 5500.

No, he is just saying he had trouble with that particular ecu (p28) with his setup. thats all.

yeah. unless that is just a problem im facing. no one else around has done it. im the first. so no one else i know really knows anything about it. like my instructions said that about the scs. no one seems to have even heard of it. ive been trying to locate it for months. so im searching for a pr3 just to get it over with. get vtec off toggle.

(loudassvtec) you didnt have to find the service check signal(scs) or anything. i got the skunk 2 obdo-obd1 conversion harness for my ecu. four wire o2 hooked up correctly. vtec solenoid and pressure switch hooked correctly dizzy done right. just no vtec kicking in.

I didn't have to mess with any service check circuit at all. The ECU adapter came with the wires, but I didn't hook any up. It all worked fine with no problems.
