Can you back that up?
Can you back that up?
I bet you can make it hit 200whp ..
Run very high compression,Huge camshaft, oversized vavles and custom intake manifold,,Good tuning, and rev it out..And you'll need some good fuel..
I dont think it would be worth it though..not to me atleast..I'd be happy with 130-140whp d16a6 engine..And even that is a task..

Dude, listen, my fart has bigger displacement then the stock 1.6L engine, so making 200 wheel hourse out of it NA, would be extremely costly, there is no reason to try to reach that goal unless you want some braging rights, while people who spend less then you will smoke you.
There is a reason why most people swap motors and or turbocharge the motor.
Swap and or turbo is the only cheap/good/proven way to make over 200whp on a crx.
Boosted stock motor however, tuned right, protected from knock, and in good overall shape/condition can hit 200whp

yeah ok , but alot of the swaps are b16's, so your fart comment carries no weight, just stench

I thought I remember someone doing it a while ago. Around 215WHP out of a d16a6. If I remember correctly, they had it bored over a good amount, were running a dry sump, ITBs, etc.
If you can make a b16a produce 200WHP with off the shelf parts, I think 200WHP in a d16a6 is very possible.
