They changed the spec so you should only use 10w30 oil in emergencies or for a short period of time. Honda MTF is relatively cheap and easy to find... or if you have the dollars to burn you can go with Redline, Amsoil, or Specialty Formulations.

My GSR transmission used to grind a very little bit going into third and I put Pennzoil Synchromesh in there and the grind went away and it shifs a lot smoother imo. I would recommend this stuff to everybody.

I would recomemd going with the synchromesh as well. I ran it in my prelude for 15k miles and changed the fluid about a week ago and it came out the same color it went in. There are many rumors about it causing premature wear but from what I saw, its a good product. Shifting was also smoother with the synchomesh.

um, no...don't do this unless it's an emergency. and if you have to do this, get it changed to mtf asap.

i vote for gm syncromesh. if you dont use that get honda mtf. if you dont get that you can use 10w-30 or 10w-40 motor oil.
Edit: now why would running 10-30 be bad? i have been funning it for a long time and it has held up great.

I would only use Honda MTF in my integra.
Some ppl use a lil Gm Synchro mesh as well
Some ppl use Redline MTF, make sure it is the correct weight for the application as there are different MTF viscosity's they make.
