Default Opinions on wheel choice

I am trying to decide which wheels to get......ADR Sokudo 8's (17's) or Rota Circuit 8's in gunmetal (16's). I think I like the ADR's better off the car, but after looking at both sets photoshoped on my car, I think I like the C8's better...........thoughts/opinions?

I know this is strictly an appearance forum, but these are some other things to think about/consider:

- ADR's are 17's
- ADR's have 40 series tires (could be a rough ride)
- ADR's probably have 2 summers left on the tires (Kumho Ecsta 711's)
- ADR's are in located about a two hour round trip away

- C8's are 16's
- C8's have 45 series tires (slightly more comfortable ride)
- C8's probably have 1 summer left on the tires (Yoko Parada Spec 2)
- C8's are in only about a half hour round trip away

Both sets of wheels are in great shape.......and both are the same price.

C8's

ADR's

New suspension setup is going on in spring (same time the wheels are put on).

ADR is one of the riciest brands you can get without getting 'spoom' wheels, get Rotas, at least theyre copies of good wheels

Maybe it is just me, but both the C8's and Sokudo 8's are 8 spoke wheels, and look very similar........how exactly are the Rotas "copies of good wheels" and the ADR's not?

I can understand you not liking ADR, but your reasoning is questionable.........they are nearly the same wheel (notwithstanding color and size) why not just say "I don't like ADR - as a brand" and leave it at that.

Anyways, thanks for the responses guys! I am gonna go with the C8's.

They're not the same. ADR wheels are VERY heavy compared with other similar wheels, based on construction materials and design quality. I had a set of 15" C8's that weighed 13.8 lbs...and the 16's are somewhere around 14.5...definitely lightweight. I wouldnt be surprised if the ADRs weighed between 18-20 lbs if not more. Rota copies solid wheel designs and retains some of the functionality despite being cast wheels at a lower cost.

And liking ADR as a brand...I will say i'm prejudiced because every ricer piece of **** in the country has either ADRs or some 7 spoke Motegis...

ROTA is as rice as ADR. I'm sure weight isn't an issue with this guy. He's obviouslly buying it for looks anyways. I'd say any wheels is fine. IMO, i'm not a fan neither. How about the new Work Emotion XD9?
