arent the headers in the front of the engine like the B series? cause if they are then then the scoop just dumps onto the IM.

Im asking cause my CF hood on my DC2 looks jkust like the mugen DC5 hood and the scoop dumps onto my throttle body and strut bar.

yup. header is in the back. IM in the front. if you take a look at at B and K series headers, they are completely different. the B series looks like a "C" and the K series looks like a backwards "S" or a normal "2"

really though, WHAT PURPOSE does that hood scoop serve? it can't be effective enough to actually make ANY difference on cooling the header off...

IMHO, i think it's purely asthetic

haha obviously no. thanks that clears it up. bt yeah i agree I dont think it could do all that much in cooling.

I think it would make more sense to have a vent and have air fow out of the engine bay thereby sucking away the heat and taking it away from the engine.

the mugen has 3 scoops for cooling purposes. Do you honestly think mugen would make a part they use purely for asthetics? Of course to those that buy it over here its nothing more than asthetics unless they track they car 24x7, but the hood scoops do serve a purpose if you're NA.

Why's it gotta be 24/7? Don't you think that if their cars are seeing any track time at all it's going to some purpose aside from just "street racing."
