Default The skinny on '91 ef master cylinder replacement

K, gotta do it. What can I use? What can I expect to pay? What's a good source for M/Cs? All I have right now is slotted rotors and axxis pads, but if I can SAFELY upgrade the M/C for better braking, why not do it now?

And what would the install run on a new M/C? (or if U could just give me a general time frame, I can estimate labor per hour) Or is it something I could do myself, not being too mechanically inclined?

Already did a search, Thanks for your time!

Use the 91 EX. It shouldn't be a to tough to find someone that can help you with this.

i've read that a 88-89 prelude master cylinder will work. im not sure what modifications are involved..i'll be doing this soon tho. my friend has a '89 prelude si 4ws sittin in his yard doin nothin. i know the prelude's is bigger..15/16"? sumpin like that. this will be nice because i have the 11" front fastbrakes.

The Ex is 15/16 as well. It is a direct bolt on. No modifications are needed. If you go with the prelude or the integra you are going to, at the very least, have to relocate the brake lines. Keep it simple.

I'd say the civic ex MC. or if you can't find one of those, a CRX Si MC is always a good option.
I upgraded my MC on my old DX CRX with an Si one, and the swap was very simple. Just remember to bleed the break lines very good.

Also, try an 89 accord fuel injected cars, mc, its 15/16ths as well like the the prelude. might be cheaper, auto zone 35 bucks, and lifetime warranty.
