Short recent timeline of my interior.
Started this about two weekends ago. Stripped my interior...

Then I sprayed it flat black...

Then I layed out carpet in the back (Home depot only had Grey
) and installed my quick release

My steering wheel before the install:

Next Im going to spray paint the carpet black. Sometime this week. I already tested it on left over carpet I have, and it looks fine and feels normal. Couldn't really tell I sprayed it.

Why flat black? the flat just looks chalky and ghetto. why not put some time and effort and do it in duplicolor the same color of the car??
Have you seen BREWERS thread where he stripped and repainted the rear of his integra white? No offense but looks much better than your flat black

I don't know if you realized, but It is covered with carpet. If I were to paint match it to the exterior it would cost much more than $8. I looked at priced from paint scratch and one 12.5 ounce can of the base coat of my paint was $25, and you need a clearcoat for my paint which is $13 or something.
One can doesnt go very far. I used 3 cans to do my interior flat black with ONE coat. I believe you might need more than one coat if I were to paintmatch. I'd say maybe 2-3 Base coats + a clear coat. 2 x $75(3 Cans of base) + 2 x $39(3 Cans of clear) = $230ish.

Yea I see it is covered with carpet but I guess I am just more **** than most, I was just trying to say that with a little more effort and the right color it would look better. Here are pics of his rear hatch and what it was painted with:

I know how Brewer's teg looks. It would require the same effort, but more money. I dont have $200 laying around to spend on paint right now.

I think it looks great chong
I feel the same-way about my hatch.. I'm still not sure if i want to spend the time and money to paint it, or just visit home-depot.
be sure to post pics of your carpet after you dye it etc.
