ECT sensor
OKay I have searched through all the archived posts on the ECT sensor and alot of it is mixed so its hard to get a definite answer, so I figured I'd ask you guys. I have a 97 H22A4 converted to OBD-1.
1. Where is the ECT sensor??
2. What wires are connected to it??
3. Would the fac that I'm throwing a code 6 be the reason my temp gauge is not working due to faulty wiring or failed sensor??
Any info that could help me solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

the ecu is right under the distrbutor area, its a 2pin plug and it screws into the side of the head. if that is broken it may or may not throw a code.
this will not affect your temp guage at all, that has it's own sensor which is right next to the ECT. that has a 1pin connector on it and screws into the head as well

thanks fellas I found where its at. It looked alright and I was able to find the unit to the right of the ECT sensor that controls the temp gauge, now I just have to figure out whats wrong with my temp gauge if its the wiring or something as to why its not working anymore.
