I was jsut curious , i only paid 20.00 for the seats in great condition and was wandering if anyone ever has ad if so what kind of brackets did you have to mod im going to take mine to work and try to do it tonight to see if they come out alright , it looks like it is going to be a little bit of welding and fab to get them in. i didnt realize that they were that much wider as far as seat tracks are concerned but they are anyway thanks for any info ...

I would think so,everyone has done everything else it should be no surprise to see that it has already been done , but i am almost done with the passenger seat probably by tonight. might have pics up if i can figure out how to post them..

I am actually very suprised you are trying to put these in your REX? Yes they can fit after fabing but they will kill your headroom and they are nowhere near the bucket feel of the originals?? They are comfortable but one of the farthest seats from a sports car style that I can think of? I know they are hard to find but I think I woulda held out for some actually bucket seats from another CRX or at least some aftermarket seats... As long as you are happy with it though my opinion does not matter, I just thought I would share my thoughts

 

He has a point. Without the low-slung stock seats you're going to be very pressed for room.

I just did a CRX dashboard swap and that thing sits so low I hardly have any leg room. Now if I wanted to swap in some low-slung CRX seats I'd get it back, but I don't feel like doing that.

 

Actually all the fab work will be done tonight ill post pics if someones wants them, as far as head room is concerned im only 5'5" so its not too bad. the seats are maroon not my color of choice but for 20 bucks what do you want and they are in mint condition. They will work until i get all the fabric for my old crx seats and sew them up ..

 

well i got one in and it sits about 1 1/2" s taller than the old one so if you are 6' or taller you can forget about it unless you lean the seat back a good bit but they look nicer and they are more comfortable for now but on the driver side that im doing this sunday im going to try and get it a little bit lower a lil redesign on the mounting brackets..

 

ill post pics if anyone really wants them but i dont think this would be a desirable conversion..
