Default Type R head & GSR head?

What the differences betwen Type R head or GSR head? Can gsr head can be made function the same as type R? Thks

uhh i think its the cc's and valvetrain, gsr will get you higher compression then the type r, but the type r i think has a better valvetrain...somewhat, anyways.

and also type r heads are mild ported and they do have stiffer valve springs...allows u to rev up higher..but not on high profile cams

That's the website you're looking for. The differences between a GSR(P72) and a Type R(PR3) are there. The intake ports are different for one, as well as the bolt patern for the intake manifold. You can't bolt a Type R intake mani to a GSR head. There are thread about this. Just search
