Clutch Bleeding
OK. I just replaced My Clutch Master Cylinder and My slave cylinder this weekend... Mc was leaking and i had to replace them before and just got some from a junkyard.. so i never trusted them.. so Now they are new.. Now I know from bleeding brakes that the pressure will build up when bleeding those.. Does this also apply to the clutch... I ran fluid in that for awhile and it never built pressure until i closed the valve on the slave cylinder... but it doesnt feel right... I probaly do not have a good definition on what it is suppose to feel like.. but now engagement is at the bottom and i have play in the pedal that is getting on my nerves.. any help.. and I am positive there is no air left in that system... ????
Bleed it the same way as your brakes. Pump it several times, hold the pedal down and have a lovely assistant (an ugly one will suffice) open the bleed nipple, (holding the pedal down still) close the bleed nipple and repeat. The pressure will eventually return. Do this until the clutch feels normal! If it's coming in at the bottom you still have air!
You need one of these!!

They are a vacuum brake and clutch line bleeder, Most shops carry them. Just hook up the hose, open the valve and pump away.. true one man operation!! I can do all 4 channels of the brakes and the clutch line by myself in 1/2 an hour.
