had the brake shoes off, put everything back together. had someone press the pedal while i watched a few times just to make sure it was togehter right and all of a sudden the boot on the right side popped off and brake fluid starting pouring out


did something just break? if so what, the brake cylinder? if i push the boot back on and pump the brakes it just pops off again

 

If you hit the brakes with the drum off, then the pistons from the wheel cylinder will pop out and leak fluid. Push the piston back into the wheels cylinder, bleed the brakes with the drum ON. And be done
