Default new guy looking for a EF/EG

i'm not sure where i'm suppost to post my intro so i guess here will have to work. my name is brad, i'm 19. i currently own a '91 Volvo 240 sedan, but i'm trying to sell it and would like to pick pu a EG hatch. but due lack of funds and that i dought the Volvo will sell for much i will probably have to settle for a EF. i want something that is cheaper to maintain and has more pontential...or should i just say has pontential.

here's my current POS, hope to soon be replaced with a honda.

Since you probably wont get much for the Volvo you might as well keep it as a DD/beater and save for a Civic. Its true EF's can usually be had for cheaper but ive seen EG's go for cheap also, if you dont mind a project car.

Edit: Welcome to the site

i don't want the volvo anymore, i'm moving to PA in just over a month to go to Wyotech and the volvo costs to much to maintain so it's gotta go. i love the RWD and it's a really fun car, but i'm readdy to get a honda.

ohh, and the S2K belongs to my buddy andrew

Yeah, you'll love a civic. Its got double wishbone suspension, and will feel SO much more nimble. Ive driven a 87 volvo, and its a bucket and has a live rear axle, so handling is awful.

For used, you have to check condition in person, at this point for its age, an EF, EG, or EK can be found for the same price range.
