Starter Problem ?

Default Starter Problem ?

i just did a moter swap on a crx si .. just put a stock moter in it. ,, & it's not starting .When i try 2 turn it over .. the starter just wines . & sounds like its spinning , but the flywheel isn't . i tryed 2 diff starters . & Checked all my grounds . & it does the same thing ? .. would it be both starter are bad ? or ground ? or timing ? or something else ?

Could be many things really.
You can do a simple test on the starter. You can put it on the floor, most put a ground to the housing of the starter, positive to the nut (I've used jumper cables or jump box for this) then trip power to the signal wire. The starter gear should push out and spin.

Other things, remember to plug in ECU, plug in distributor? I know it sounds common -but people forget and the engine will just spin.
