SOHC vtec head question.

SOHC vtec head question.
Alright i can buy this 97ex head without the valve cover and vtec solenoid. I had a head at home with the vtec head just no cam, could i take off my vtec solenoid and just bolt it up and it work? not too familiar with this. Thx for the responses.

should work fine, the only thing not swappable between the same heads would be the camshaft caps (would need to be remachined)
not sure if a z6 solenoid is the same as y8, you didn't say what head you already had, but you'lljust need to look at the units and heads to compare.
